NTI Dragon Burn 4.5.0.11 (Mac OS X)
For what I have thought was very good reasons, I have been extremely critical of this product several times over the years. This revision has finally earned a high mark in my opinion. It is stable, and works well from the get go. Finally, it is well worth the money. Buy it. [alert admin]

iClock Pro 1.0b19 (Mac OS X)
I did just what the previous reviewer did. I downloaded this new screw up in the hope it would fix the screw up that preceded it. It didn't. All I've accomplished is rendering a program that did work well into a waste of disk space. Don't buy it. [alert admin]

As is too often the case, this update sucks ![]()

All too many times iClock updates screw up a program that is working fine, and leaves one with nothing. Advice: TEST your stuff before sending out to undermine your market base. I'm tired of having your updates foul my computer. [alert admin]

Suppose I have a program that is used by a lot of devoted friends who have gmail email accounts. Suppose I have a staff that suggests we only sell downloaded software to those customers who DO NOT have gmail email accounts. How long would it take me to fire them? It is truly amazing that the people who make this excellent product cannot figure out how to send such a small program over the Internet, as a great number of suppliers do, so those of us who DO use gmail exclusively can pay them money, and buy their product. I beggars the imagination. [alert admin]

Readiris Pro 11.6.4 (Mac OS X)
I NEED an OCR program that works with OS 10.5 on my intel iMac. I wish I had stopped in here before I wasted nearly $200 on this software. IT WILL NOT OPERATE MY SCANNER!. Even though the scanner, an Epson 2450, is well adapted to Twain, and works fine with other programs, the IRIS 'we work with Twain' statement is just BS. The scanner does not show up on the Readiris Preferences panel no matter what I do or how many times I reboot, reload, and/or cry havoc. I have waited for several days for a response to my emailed request for assistance. NOTHING! Wait until they fix this. [alert admin]

UseNeXT 4.81 (Mac OS X)
This software supplier has NO interest in its customers and provides zero support. Stick with Vuse, and leave this outfit to rot. [alert admin]

NTI Dragon Burn 4.5.0.5 (Mac OS X)
Trying to use this on an Intel, dual processor, OS 10.5. Rapid growth of coasters follow. Damned thing will run up to 99% and stall on three burners. Next time it will work great. Sometimes it will work flawlessly for several times in succession, and then fall over dead. FIX IT and you will make a fortune! [alert admin]

UseNeXT 4.81 (Mac OS X)
Rather clunky and not Mac-instinctive but useable. One major complaint is the requirement that one loses any remaining entitlement from their current 'month,' when, due to periodic heavy use, it is necessary to 'recharge' one's account and use alloted download capability that has been paid for up front. Thus, one loses capability that has been paid for. THAT is a rip off. [alert admin]

Seatubes 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
I just got this email from the outfit. Unfortunately YouTube changed something on their end, just recently, and that broke the program. The problem is being investigated, but I think YouTube is trying to prevent users from downloading their files. Hopefully a workaround will be achieved. But please note, however, that the utilities password I sent you activates all my utilities, and not just Seatubes (i.e. it's a "Utilities" password you registered for.) The utility software bundle is described here: http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html Thanks for understanding, and I am sorry for any inconvenience. Ciao Joe I don't think I should have been the one to give this notice. Jim [alert admin]

The law has become so tangled in BS that everyone, including the designer of this once very useful software, has their head down. Even so, one feels very lonely when one pays for the software, goes through the entire process to ensure the security of all concerned against the actions of those will misuse the tool, and finds, as I have, that it DOES NOT WORK, and one cannot get any help from the guy with your money. This is a risky purchase to be sure. Go for Handbrake. It works right out of the gate. [alert admin]

It works. One should not have to pry this out of the support people. You will have to delete the Readiris Preferences HD => Users => name of users => Library => Preferences => Readiris Prefs After that you will be able to tick the box.

I finally got this reply. I had already done it without any result. Readiris displays the 'Open In Rosetta' box grayed out and useless. Could you follow the procedure below: 1. Could you verify the content of this folder HD => Library => Image capture => Twain data source => *.ds If you see your scanner model .ds, you can go to step 2 If there is no driver >…
